Heritage Alliance PAC endorses Justice Fitzgerald

The Heritage Alliance PAC has awarded Justice Fitzgerald an 'A' as well as their endorsement for re-election.
 
The Heritage Alliance's panel of area leaders recommends candidates for statewide offices, Texas Legislature and county offices in Bexar, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Harris and Tarrant counties. The panelists give the candidates a score of A, B, C, or F after studying voting records, questionnaires, donor lists, and other endorsements.

Dallas Morning News Recommends Fitzgerald

On September 11th the Dallas Morning News published their endorsement of Justice Kerry Fitzgerald for the Fifth District Court of Appeals, Place 8.  The editorial board noted that Justice Fitzgerald was "profoundly serious about the law" and has a "depth and breadth of bench experience."

The Dallas Morning News puts it well, saying "[v]oters would do well to send Justice Fitzgerald back for another term on the appeals court."

First Annual Intern Conference

Justice Fitzgerald's interns, Jon Spiller, Lani Payne, Matthias Kleinsasser, Nicole Durham, and Heather Nale, developed the first annual Intern Conference which was held on Thursday, July 24th in the Courtroom of the Fifth District Court of Appeals and was a great success!  Over 30 law students were able to hear candid insights on everything from life at big firms to frequent mistakes of young associates.  The panel consisted of Honorable Chief Justice Linda Thomas, Honorable Justice Doug Lang, Frank Stevenson, Red Dog Jones, Laura Geisler, Jim Grau, Terrance Henderson, and Susan Sandige.  Justice Fitzgerald gave the closing remarks and included several magical effects to emphasize important ideas including integrity, trust, and making good choices.
